Emily joined the Bella Gia Team in 2018. Emily has been licensed/certified since 2008, first in New York state, then by the National organization NCBTMB and then the state of California. She grew up in New Hampshire and studied theater in college in Boston. While living in New York, she decided to start studying massage.
Emily became a massage therapist because her desk job was making her depressed. She wanted work where she was able to be active and helping. At first it was going to be a side job while pursing an acting career, but it quickly became more rewarding than attempting to get paid to perform ever was and now specialize in therapeutic treatment like sports and deep tissue. In 2008 Emily moved to California, with her actor husband. They moved to San Diego in 2013 for him to attend grad school at the prestigious USD/Old Globe program. Since coming to Bella Gia Emily’s new favorite treatment is the mud wrap because painting it on with a paintbrush is so relaxing and meditative. When she is not at Bella Gia Emily enjoys singing, seeing plays, reading novels, and hanging out with family. She is very proud of her two hilarious children who keep her on her toes (and sometimes on her knees) daily but are brilliant and creative and loving.
